CCD denies that US ruled out Ukraine's return to 2014 or 2022 borders

The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) has denied information spread with reference to foreign sources that the United States has excluded the issue of restoring the 2014 or 2022 borders from negotiations with Ukraine.

The department reported this on Facebook.

Thus, information has spread on the network with reference to foreign sources that allegedly during the negotiation process in Saudi Arabia the issue of Ukraine's possible return to the borders that existed before the start of russia's military aggression was excluded.

In particular, it is alleged that American officials stated that they supposedly "do not even want to hear" any requests from Ukraine regarding the restoration of the 2014 or 2022 borders.

"The Center has verified this information and found that it is not true. This issue was not raised at all. Trust only verified sources," the department stressed.

It should be noted that Sky News wrote about this with reference to the anonymous words of the American delegation in Jeddah. The correspondent found out that allegedly in private conversations, American officials stated that they "do not want to hear" about any requests from Ukraine to return the country's borders to the state of 2014 or 2022.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the meeting of the delegations of Ukraine and the United States in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) has begun.
