The Verkhovna Rada has refused to call Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to report on the results of negotiations with the United States delegation in Saudi Arabia.
This was announced by the Verkhovna Rada member from the Holos faction, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
115 MPs voted for the relevant decision with the minimum required 150 votes.
The MPs intended to call the head of the Foreign Ministry regarding the results of negotiations with the American delegation in Saudi Arabia and emphasized that they want to receive information directly from relevant representatives of the government and the negotiating team, and not from the media.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a meeting of the delegations of Ukraine and the United States has begun in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
Earlier on Tuesday, Yermak announced the arrival of the Ukrainian delegation to Saudi Arabia, where negotiations between Ukraine and the United States are to take place today. He added that the Ukrainian delegation has a "clear vision of ending the war" and intends to defend Ukrainian interests.
