Ukraine lost access to satellite images of Maxar. This is what Trump administration ordered

The American company Maxar Technologies has stopped providing Ukraine with access to satellite images of the area that were used by the Ukrainian army during its confrontation with the aggressor country of russia.

According to CNN, this was stated by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) of the USA and the Maxar company itself.

It is noted that Ukraine has long been using satellite images taken by Maxar satellites in the war against russia.

The images of the area were transferred to Ukraine as part of a contract between the NGA and Maxar. That is, the US government purchased images from the company for further transfer to the Ukrainian military.

According to CNN, the decision to suspend access to Maxar images followed the decision of the administration of President Donald Trump to stop sharing intelligence data with Ukraine.

Maxar stated that the company cooperates with the US government and dozens of other countries around the world.

"Each client makes their own decisions about how to use and transfer this data <...> We take our contractual obligations very seriously," the company said in a statement.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 5, the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Ratcliffe confirmed that Washington had stopped sharing intelligence with Kyiv.

According to the British publication Sky News, the exchange of information that allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike at russian territory was stopped. At the same time, the transfer of other data will continue.

And on March 7, the American television channel CNN reported, citing sources, that Ukraine continues to receive intelligence that it needs to protect itself from russian attacks.
