President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that today is the most intensive work with President Trump's team ever, the subject of which is peace and security.
He said this in an evening address.
"Today, all day long, at various levels, the most intensive work with President Trump's team ever continues - many calls. The topic is clear - peace as soon as possible, security as reliably as possible. Ukraine is as constructively oriented as possible," he said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that next week there will be "a lot of work here, in Europe, with America, in Saudi Arabia." The President reported that meetings are being prepared to "accelerate peace and make the foundations of security strong."
At the same time, he summed up the week, noted the increase in support for Europe - both through the EU and from individual countries. Zelenskyy highlighted Norway's decision to increase aid to USD 7.7 billion this year, most of which will be directed to weapons production in Ukraine.
He noted that decisions from other Nordic countries are expected. Meanwhile, France will accelerate security assistance, and the Netherlands is ready to invest EUR 700 million in drone production. There are also new decisions from the Baltic countries, security agreements with EU President Costa and European Commission President von der Leyen.
"We are preparing for a meeting at the level of the chiefs of general staff in France," he added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, an unnamed Trump administration official told the Axios portal that the aggressor country of russia's continuous air attacks on Ukraine have angered US President Donald Trump, who insists on a ceasefire.
A few hours after the missile attack, US President Trump threatened russia with strong sanctions if russian dictator vladimir putin refuses to sit at the negotiating table.
