Oksana Hryhoryeva has been appointed as a gender advisor in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"A gender advisor has been appointed in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to ensure mutual coordination between the branches and services of the armed forces and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as well as to develop and implement a comprehensive gender strategy in the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the report says.
It is reported that Hryhoryeva is a public figure, a former gender advisor to the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Gender equality is part of the National Security Strategy of Ukraine and one of the goals of sustainable development. The implementation of gender policy is one of the conditions for Ukraine's accession to the European Union and NATO," the General Staff added.
Recall that earlier Umerov appointed the former commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ihnatov as Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
