French Mirage-2000 fighters, which arrived in Ukraine only a month ago, took part in repelling a massive russian attack on March 7 for the first time.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that during the night and morning, Ukrainian defenders shot down 34 missiles and 100 enemy UAVs.
The enemy air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare equipment and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"Fighter aircraft were also involved, in particular F-16 and Mirage-2000 aircraft. It is worth noting that French fighters, which arrived in Ukraine only a month ago, took part in repelling an enemy air attack for the first time," the Air Force said.
Recall that at night, russia launched a massive strike on Ukraine, targeting energy and gas infrastructure facilities.
In addition, 8 civilians were injured as a result of a russian missile attack on a residential area in Kharkiv.
