Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has appointed Arsen Zhumadilov as Director of the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) of the Ministry of Defense.
Umerov announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I have appointed Arsen Zhumadilov as Director of the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. He has a clear task - to make the procurement of weapons, ammunition and equipment as effective, transparent and fast as possible. This is a key resource for deterring the aggressor. There is no time for complacency. The army is waiting for weapons. Results are needed here and now," he said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the State Rear Operator state enterprise previously reported that Director General Zhumadilov was leaving his post.
Umerov appointed Arsen Zhumadilov as the Director General of the State Rear Operator state enterprise in November 2023.
In January, the Ministry of Defense announced the appointment of Arsen Zhumadilov as the provisional director of the Defense Procurement Agency state enterprise from February 1 and an appeal to law enforcement agencies to investigate and legally assess the actions of the agency's former management.
