North Korean troops trained in russia on drone tactics – South Korean intelligence

South Korean intelligence said on March 5 that there are indications that North Korean troops deployed to russia to participate in the war with Ukraine have been trained in moscow on drone operations and tactics, Yonhap reported.

The National Intelligence Agency (NIIS) made the assessment amid concerns that russia may have provided North Korea with drone-related technology in exchange for Pyongyang sending troops to support moscow's military efforts.

"As there is a sign that North Korean troops dispatched to Russia have been learning drone operations and tactics from Moscow, we are monitoring possible drone cooperation between the two sides," the agency said.

It is indicated that North Korea has focused on the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, including multi-purpose strike drones, and its leader Kim Jong Un in November last year gave an order for the rapid full-scale mass production of kamikaze strike drones.

Recall that South Korean intelligence recorded that the DPRK deployed additional troops to support the war of the aggressor state.
