In 2024, the average salary of Ukrainians increased compared to 2023 by 23.1% to UAH 21,473 per month.
This was announced by the State Statistics Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The highest level of salaries was registered in the information and telecommunications sector, where the average salary was UAH 52,457 per month, followed by air transport - UAH 43,938 per month, and in third place was financial and insurance activities - UAH 41,384 per month.
The lowest level was recorded in the functioning of libraries, archives, museums and other cultural institutions where the average salary was UAH 13,142 per month, in second place was activities in the field of creativity, art and entertainment - UAH 13,143 per month, and in third place was education - UAH 14,593 per month.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-September 2024, the average salary of Ukrainians increased compared to January-September last year by 22.2% to UAH 20,592 per month.
Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi stated during the government question hour on February 28 that the Ministry of Education and Science cannot find a source of funds to increase the salaries of all education workers.
