Ukraine's margin of safety without US arms supplies will last about six months - Venislavskyi

Ukraine has a margin of safety that will last about six months without systematic arms supplies from the United States. Therefore, Kyiv is already looking for alternative sources of supply.

This was stated by Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine agency.

"I think that Ukraine definitely has a margin of safety for about six months even without systematic assistance from the US, but it will, of course, be much more difficult. Therefore, everyone is now working <...> to consider options for compensating for this quantity and quality of weapons," the MP noted.

According to him, in the three years since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian military-industrial complex has gained momentum and is capable of eliminating threats associated with the cessation of supplies.

At the same time, he admitted that Ukraine cannot produce certain critically important weapons. These are air defense systems and high-precision artillery systems.

Venislavskyi added that the primary task is to provide the Ukrainian army with ammunition for air defense systems to repel air attacks by the russian army.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Tuesday, March 4, the media reported that US President Donald Trump ordered a halt to the supply of weapons to Ukraine. The White House's order applies to all weapons that the Ukrainian army received as part of military assistance.
