US President Donald Trump has paused all military aid to Ukraine, including weapons that have already left US territory and are heading to the Ukrainian border.
This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to an anonymous senior Pentagon official.
"This decision applies to all US military aid, including weapons "in transit" on planes, ships, or those waiting in transit zones in Poland," a Bloomberg source said.
Earlier, it was unofficially reported that the Trump administration had already stopped financing the purchase of new weapons for Ukraine and was considering the possibility of freezing supplies from American warehouses.
Ukraine receives weapons from the US in several ways: through the Foreign Military Financing program, which provides loans and grants for the purchase of weapons, and through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which allows the Pentagon to purchase weapons for Kyiv. However, there are currently no funds for this.
The most important supply mechanism remained the presidential arms reduction authority, which allowed the Pentagon to transfer weapons to Ukraine directly from its stockpiles. On Monday, the White House planned to hold a meeting to discuss the possibility of stopping such supplies.
Voice of America correspondent Ostap Yarysh also learned about the suspension of aid, citing the same words from an administration source.
"‼️A U.S. pause in military aid to Ukraine affects weapons that have yet to be delivered. If you look at previous announcements by the Biden administration, these primarily include vital air defense missiles and artillery ammunition," writes Ostap Yarysh.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Monday, March 3, the American publication The Wall Street Journal wrote, citing sources, that the Trump administration had ordered a halt to funding new arms sales to Ukraine.
On March 1, just hours after the public argue between Trump and Zelenskyy, The Washington Post reported that the White House was considering halting arms supplies to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, CNN and Bloomberg reported, citing their own sources in the White House, that Trump had ordered a halt to all arms supplies to Ukraine.
