Verkhovna Rada publishes address to Trump, welcomes his peace talks

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has published an address to the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, in which it welcomed his initiatives to start the negotiation process for peace.

The corresponding document was published by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada on Monday, March 3.

The Verkhovna Rada called the US assistance to Ukraine in the most difficult times crucial and expressed gratitude to President Donald Trump, the US Congress and the American people on behalf of all Ukrainians. The parliament also noted that the security assistance packages from the US helped stabilize the situation at the front.

"The Ukrainian people desire peace more than anyone else in the world and believe that the personal role of President Donald Trump and his peacemaking efforts will be decisive in quickly ending the hostilities and achieving peace for Ukraine, Europe, and the world.
