Macron confident that situation between Zelenskyy and Trump can be resolved

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed confidence that the consequences of the argue between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump can be "de-escalated".

He told Le Figaro newspaper.

So, Macron contacted the US President three times in three days. The last conversation took place after the London Security Summit on Ukraine, which was attended by representatives of 18 countries.

"In the coming days, we will be able to move everything back from a dead point," the French President said.

At the same time, Macron stressed that a peaceful settlement to the war should not be agreed at any cost - Ukraine and its allies want security guarantees.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, French President Emmanuel Macron, together with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, is developing a peace plan for Ukraine. One of the initiatives is a temporary ceasefire lasting one month.

Meanwhile, a source in the administration of US President Donald Trump told The New York Times that on Monday the American leader will hold a meeting at which, probably, the suspension of US military aid to Ukraine will be considered, including supplies approved and paid for during the presidency of Joe Biden.

In addition, today, March 3, Trump said that the United States should worry less about russian leader vladimir putin, and worry about other problems, among which he named the entry into the country of people from psychiatric hospitals, so as "not to become like Europe."
