Russia has increased the production of kamikaze drones and, if the production plan is implemented, will be able to launch approximately 500 unmanned aerial vehicles simultaneously every night.
This was stated in an interview with RBC-Ukraine by the deputy head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi.
He noted that in a year, from the beginning of 2024, russia has significantly expanded the range of production of strike drones.
"If earlier, we knew only one Shahed, then Geran-1, Geran-2 and that's it. Today, the range of these unmanned aerial vehicles is so large that it is not always possible to count them on the fingers of one hand: Geran-1, Geran-2, Garpiya, Gerbera, Parodiya and others," he noted.
Finally, the russians were able to increase the production of drones to such a level that Ukraine could be attacked by 100 to 200 UAVs per night by increasing their own production, which they located at a fairly significant distance from Ukraine - Izhevsk, Yelabuga, the Kalashnikov concern.
The occupiers also plan to increase the number of launch pads from which UAVs are launched.
"According to the calculations of the russian command, if the plans for the first half of the year are implemented, they will be able to launch approximately 500 unmanned aerial vehicles simultaneously," Skibitskyi noted.
We will remind you that after three years of war, the russian aerospace forces, despite their numerical and technological superiority, have not been able to achieve air supremacy over Ukraine. Because of this, russia is forced to use tactical aviation, in particular Su-34 aircraft, as aerial artillery.
