Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko and Chancellor of the Exchequer of the UK Rachel Reeves signed an Agreement on providing Ukraine with GBP 2.26 billion (about USD 3 billion).
This was announced in a statement by the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The funds are part of the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) mechanism of the G7 countries with a total amount of USD 50 billion.
The loan will be serviced and repaid at the expense of future profits received from immobilized russian sovereign assets.
Financing is provided for 30 years.
The funds raised will be used to finance the purchase of defense materials, in accordance with the needs of the Ukrainian side.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, within the framework of the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) mechanism of the G7 countries, Ukraine has already received USD 1 billion from the US and EUR 3 billion from the EU.
