Rubio names condition under which US ready to resume interaction with Ukraine

The US is ready to resume interaction with Ukraine when it is ready for peace, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

In his interview with the This Week program on the American ABC channel, he emphasized that Washington is seeking to find ways to end the war.

Rubio noted: "The US will be ready to resume interaction when Ukraine is ready for peace, and this is clearly what the President (Donald Trump - ed.) aims to do." He also added that in order to achieve peace, it is necessary to involve russia in the negotiation process.

"Nobody here is saying that vladimir putin will receive the Nobel Peace Prize... We need to find out - is there a way to force them to stop the war? And the only way to do that is to involve the russians in the negotiations," Rubio concluded.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 2, Waltz said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continued to argue with US President Donald Trump even behind closed doors, so he was asked to leave early.

On February 28, during the public part of the meeting, Zelenskyy got into a heated argument with Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, who also took part in the conversation.

On February 28, Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social that Zelenskyy was allegedly not ready for peace and showed disrespect for the United States.
