The Norwegian government will soon turn to parliament with a request to increase financial assistance to Ukraine.
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre stated this in an interview with the NRK broadcaster.
"I can say today that we will return to parliament in the near future with a proposal to increase support," he assured.
Reuters recalled that at the end of 2024, the Norwegian parliament agreed to spend USD 3.12 billion on military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in 2025, as well as a total of NOK 155 billion in the period from 2023 to 2030 (USD 1 = NOK 11.2233).
It is also known that Støre will meet with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday, March 2.
