President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could not answer when Ukraine and the United States of America will be able to sign an agreement on subsoil and rare earth minerals.
He said this in an interview with the host of the American Fox News channel Bret Baier, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to him, the United States wants to sign this agreement. Ukraine is not against signing the document, but Kyiv wants to understand how security guarantees will take their place in this agreement.
"I think that the ministers should sign this agreement, I do not know when they will do it. It depends on the American side," Zelenskyy said.
Recall, on February 28, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Washington to meet with Donald Trump. It was planned that the result of the visit of the Ukrainian delegation would be the signing of an agreement on minerals.
However, during the public part of the meeting, Zelenskyy got into a heated argument with Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, who also participated in the conversation.
As a result, Zelenskyy left the White House early, their joint press conference with Trump was canceled, and the resource agreement was not signed.
