The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump may stop further indirect support for Ukraine, including other types of military funding, intelligence sharing and military training.
NYT reported this with reference to a Trump administration representative.
"The Biden administration saw the $67 billion in military assistance it provided to Kyiv as essential. Trump sees any further aid as leverage," the journalistic report said.
After Friday's row in the Oval Office, a Trump administration representative said that the president may decide to stop even indirect support for Ukraine provided by the United States, which includes other types of military funding, intelligence sharing, training of Ukrainian military personnel and pilots, and the location of an international assistance management center at a U.S. military base in Germany.
On Friday, a Trump administration official said that all American aid to Ukraine – including the last shipments of ammunition and equipment authorized and paid for during the Biden administration – could be canceled in the near future.
The publication notes that, according to the Kiel Institute, European countries have allocated USD 138 billion for Ukraine’s military operations, compared with USD 119 billion in military and humanitarian aid from the United States.
