France, Germany, the United Kingdom and other European countries are ready to send their troops to ensure a ceasefire between the aggressor country russia and Ukraine.
French Finance Minister Éric Lombard stated this in an interview with Bloomberg.
Lombard said that he expects support from the U.S. in the issue of sending European troops.
"If we want the ceasefire to be observed, we need U.S. support. I believe that the Americans would agree to do this," the Minister said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 24, Emmanuel Macron arrived in Washington to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump.
At the meeting, Trump supported the potential deployment of European troops in Ukraine and promises to support this process.
In addition, he believes that putin will be against European peacekeepers on the territory of Ukraine.
