Over the past day, on February 25, a delegation from the Workers' Party of North Korea (WPK) arrived in moscow at the invitation of russia's ruling United russia party, amid reports that North Korea may supply more supplies to russia.
The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported this.
Russian and North Korean state media reported that the head of the consular department of the russian Foreign Ministry (MFA) Andrei Klimov and North Korean Ambassador to Russia Sin Hong Chol met in moscow with a high-ranking North Korean delegation.
The russian Embassy in Pyongyang reported on February 24 that the delegations will discuss expanding cooperation between United russia and the WPK in accordance with the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between russia and North Korea, which entered into force in December 2024.
South Korean media outlet Korea JoongAng Daily reported on February 24 that commercial satellite images collected by Planet Labs PBC show a 110-meter-long ship entering and leaving the North Korean Rason Port near the border with the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and russia.
The satellite images also show a line of containers about 100 meters long on a pier at Rason Port next to a moored vessel. The ship reportedly arrived at the inner side of the Rason Port pier on February 20 and moved to the outer side on February 21, indicating that the ship unloaded containers on the inner side of the pier and loaded new containers on the outer side before departing.
ISW recalled that North Korea likely used Rason Port to transfer munitions to Vladivostok, russia, in November 2023.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the North Korean ballistic missiles that the aggressor state russia has been launching at Ukraine since late December were much more accurate than those launched last year.
