The Verkhovna Rada has refused to summon Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to tell the parliamentarians about the agreement with the U.S. on Ukrainian rare earth metals.
The co-chair of the European Solidarity faction Iryna Herashchenko and a Member of Parliament from the Holos faction reported this on their Telegram channels, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Only 114 parliamentarians supported the demand of the European Solidarity and Holos to immediately summon to the Verkhovna Rada those representatives of the Government who are negotiating the agreement on subsoil. The Verkhovna Rada has the right to know what is happening with Ukrainian property," Herashchenko wrote.
Zhelezniak reported that his proposals to summon Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko and Shmyhal were put to a vote twice, but to no avail.
According to him, the monomajority refuses to support such initiatives.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, yesterday the Rada refused to summon Svyrydenko regarding the agreement with the U.S. on Ukrainian minerals.
