In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, Donetsk Region, the reserve Kamianske reservoir has become critically shallowed. This is exacerbating the problem of the city's water supply.
The press service of the Mariupol City Council has reported this.
The city council says that the relevant photos of the shallowing are published by locals.
"The Kamianske reservoir near occupied Mariupol has a critical level of shallowing... The reservoir used to be a reserve source of water supply. Now it has a significant decrease in the water level, which is visible from the bare bottom," the report says.

It is reported that the occupiers cannot solve the problem of water supply to the captured city. And since March, the occupiers have generally introduced schedules for water supply to residents' homes.
This is due to the critical shallowing of the Starokrymske reservoir, which has become the main one since the beginning of the russian occupation.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Environment explained why the Dniester has become shallow.
The bottom of the Dniester River near the Khotyn Fortress has sharply become shallower and cracked, and now it can be crossed on foot.
Local residents believe that water from the Dniester was released to increase electricity production. Another reason for the shallowing of the river is a severe drought.
