Defense Ministry allows use of Vidmak FPV-drone in AFU

The Ministry of Defense has codified and allowed the Vidmak (Witcher) unmanned aerial vehicle complex for operation in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that the high-speed FPV drones of this complex are capable of catching up with any wheeled equipment of the invaders.

"Vidmak is manufactured at a Ukrainian enterprise. The complex was created taking into account the combat experience of our soldiers. Most of the components are domestically produced," the report says.

The Ministry of Defense said that with its rather compact size, the Witcher is capable of carrying a charge whose power is sufficient to effectively defeat armored vehicles and protected enemy firing positions.

At the same time, the copter develops significant speed and can maneuver sharply. The "birds" of the complex can operate both day and night.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in February, the Ministry of Defense allowed the domestically produced BATON, ZEUS and HADES unmanned aerial systems to be operated by units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The government has decided to allocate another UAH 7.9 billion for the purchase of drones.
