US refuses to include clause on security guarantees in minerals agreement

The U.S. does not want security guarantees to appear in the minerals agreement.

CNN reported this, citing its own source.

The final draft of the agreement has probably already been submitted to Washington. It spells out the conditions for creating a fund for the recovery of Ukraine. However, the conditions for security guarantees have been left for further discussion.

Despite the fact that the "American side is very much resisting the inclusion of security guarantees," Kyiv hopes that Zelenskyy and Trump will discuss these guarantees at the upcoming meeting.

"Everything is ready from our [Ukrainian] side. We have finalized the draft. We have done as much as we can to make the conditions reasonable," said the CNN interlocutor.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, U.S. President Donald Trump said that he is negotiating with russian dictator vladimir putin regarding the end of the war he started in Ukraine.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he is ready to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House "this week or next week" to sign a mineral rights agreement.
