Explosion near russian consulate in Marseille

An explosion has been heard near the consulate of the aggressor country of russia in Marseille, France.

Reuters reported this on Monday, February 24.

Local media reported that an explosion had been heard near the russian consulate in the port city of Marseille in southern France.

According to Valeurs Actuelles journalist Nicolas Boutin, citing anonymous police sources, two Molotov cocktails were thrown into the garden of the consulate at around 7:30 am local time.

There were no reports of injured or damage, although russia's Consul General in Marseille, Stanislav Oransky, confirmed the explosion and said firefighters had arrived at the scene, The Moscow Times reports.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 22, 2024, the embassy of the aggressor state of the russian federation in the United States sent a note of protest to the US Department of State after US President Joe Biden called russian dictator vladimir putin, accused of war crimes, a "crazy son of a bitch."
