Ukraine continues to increase the development of its own weapons and ammunition, primarily technological solutions that help save the lives of servicemen, said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi at the forum Ukraine. Year 2025 in Kyiv on Sunday.
"First of all, this is the direction of unmanned systems, robotic platforms and sea drones. We were the first in the world to create a separate Unmanned Systems Forces, by the way, this experience of ours is also accepted by operational ones. We are hitting the enemy at a distance, increasing strikes on its territory. Military units, arsenals, storage warehouses, workshops of enterprises, the military-industrial complex, oil refineries, other energy and logistics facilities that russia uses in the war against us are the objects of our strikes. The distance of defeat on the territory of russia has already reached 1,700 km," Syrskyi said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in January that this year Ukraine wants to set a record in the number of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will allow it to stop the enemy's advance.
In early December, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that in 2025, more than 30,000 long-range strike drones, the so-called DeepStrike, will be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
