Ukraine will create so-called "drone swarms" and launch explosives production by the end of 2025.
The Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov stated this on the air of the We are Ukraine.
"There are already a dozen companies working on this, we are constantly testing it at testing grounds. I believe that this is a prospect for the near future. That is, this year we will see how "drone swarms" work," the Minister said.
According to him, by the end of the year our country plans to establish explosives production. For this, the authorities are currently working on bureaucratic problems, and are also dealing with issues of providing grants.
"We have carried out some preparatory work, removed bureaucratic problems for manufacturers. First, we opened the market, allowed the private sector to produce gunpowder and ammunition. Second, we allowed the import of various components for production. The next step is financial support," he stressed.
In the near future, the authorities will present a developed program for the production of explosives, for which funds have already been allocated. It provides for the creation of safe conditions for the production of weapons. The Minister is confident that the implementation of the project will begin in the near future.
"The President set the task of finding funds six months ago, so they have already been allocated, a program has already been developed, we will soon announce publicly that companies involved in gunpowder will be able to join this project," Fedorov said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in January that this year Ukraine wants to set a record for the number of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will allow stopping the enemy's advance.
