On the night of Saturday, February 22, russian troops launched 162 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 82 enemy UAVs, and another 75 drones were lost in location.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of February 21 (from 7 p.m. on February 21), the enemy attacked with 162 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"As of 08:00 a.m., it has been confirmed that 82 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types have been shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. 75 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
The Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk Regions suffered as a result of the enemy attack.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of February 21, the russians launched 160 drones and two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 87 enemy UAVs, and another 70 drones were lost in location.
