Zelenskyy postpones visit to Saudi Arabia to March

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has postponed his visit to Saudi Arabia, which he planned to visit immediately after his visit to Türkiye, where he is currently staying, to March 10.

Zelenskyy announced this during a conversation with the media following the results of his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"I don't care if our partners think something unnecessary about us. We are absolutely honest, open. I don't want coincidences. And that's why I won't go to Saudi Arabia. We contacted our partners in Saudi Arabia. I have very good relations with Muhammad (Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud). We just contacted and agreed that I will be on an official visit on March 10. And the United States - we are expecting them in Kyiv," he said.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine wants the war to end more than anyone else, but wants it to be fair, so that no one decides anything behind Ukraine's back. He also stressed that decisions cannot be made without Ukraine on how to end the war in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine was not invited to the russian-American meeting in Saudi Arabia, which took place today, February 18, which was a surprise for Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy arrived in Türkiye on Monday evening, February 17, on an official visit.

Zelenskyy was expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday evening, February 18.

Zelenskyy also announced his visit to Saudi Arabia, but denied planning any meetings of his own or Ukrainian representatives with representatives of the United States or russia.
