Today, more than a hundred thousand people in Mykolaiv were left without heating as a result of the russian Shahed strike on the city's critical infrastructure.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on his Telegram channel.
"An ordinary Ukrainian city, ordinary civilian infrastructure. This has nothing to do with the fighting and the situation at the front, this once again proves that the russians are fighting against our people, against life in Ukraine. And they are fighting meanly, without relieving the pressure. Those who really want peace to be restored and are preparing for negotiations do not do this," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine will work together with partners to strengthen protection against such strikes.
"We need to pressure russia to peace. The recent strike by the Shahed on the shelter at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, this strike on Mykolaiv, all other similar russian strikes should lead to a strong reaction, to strong interaction between us - all partners - and to joint work to force russia to peace," the President added.
We will remind you that at night, the russian occupiers targeted the Mykolaiv thermal power plant, leaving 46,000 consumers without heat.
