On Saturday evening, February 15, the Vatican press service reported on the health of Pope Francis. The Holy Father is in the Roman hospital named after Agostino Gemelli, where he was hospitalized on February 14 with symptoms of acute bronchitis.
According to doctors, his well-being is stable, there is no increase in temperature. Examinations confirmed a respiratory infection, so the treatment was slightly adjusted. At the same time, improvements in some tests were recorded.
During Saturday, Pope Francis received Holy Communion, rested, prayed and read. Doctors strongly recommended complete rest for him. Because of this, on Sunday, February 16, he will not be able to recite the traditional Angelus prayer, but he plans to submit the text of his reflections for publication.
The Holy Father thanked all those who are praying for him and asked for continued support.
