US special envoy Keith Kellogg believes that Europe will have no place at the peace table on the russian-Ukrainian war.
This is reported by Reuters.
Thus, Kellogg stated at the Munich Security Conference that the United States will mediate in negotiations with Ukraine and russia as the two main actors.
At the same time, answering a question about the prospects for the Europeans' presence at the negotiating table, Kellogg said: "I belong to the school of realism. I think that will not happen."
At the same time, later at the conference, Kellogg tried to reassure the Europeans, stating that this did not mean that "their interests are not taken into account, not used and not developed."
Kellogg said at the conference that talks aimed at ending the war between russia and Ukraine could focus on territorial concessions by russia and target putin's oil revenues.
"Russia is truly an oil state," he said, adding that Western states must do more to effectively enforce sanctions against russia.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said that the issue of Ukraine's borders is "part of the discussion."
Meanwhile, The Washington Post correspondent Josh Rogin claims that at the Munich Security Conference, American congressmen allegedly proposed to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to transfer the rights of 50% of Ukraine's mineral reserves to the United States.
