2,000 PrivatBank clients used the monthly limit for transferring funds in the amount of UAH 150,000 in the first 2 days (February 1-2).
Anton Razumnyi, a member of the bank's board for compliance issues, announced this at a briefing on February 11, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"In the first two days of the introduction of the restrictions, 2,000 PrivatBank clients have already hit the limit of UAH 150,000," he said.
At the same time, Razumnyi noted that the bank is currently expecting complaints and working with clients.
According to him, it is necessary to understand the capabilities of clients in order to set the correct limits.
According to Razumnyi, it is too early to conduct a more detailed analysis, since the month has not yet ended.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, from February 1, banks in Ukraine introduced limits on money transfers for clients. These are funds sent to each other by individuals using IBAN details. The largest banks in Ukraine signed a corresponding memorandum.
The innovation will apply only to clients who do not have documented income. Banks will classify them into three risk groups: "high", "medium" and "low".
For clients with a "high" risk level, the limit will be UAH 50,000 per month.
For "medium" and "low" risk groups, the restrictions will apply in two stages:
from February 1, 2025 - up to UAH 150,000;
from June 1, 2025 - up to UAH 100,000.
