Ukrainians urged to sign petition to cancel reservation for grantees and form new AFU brigades

The legal community has registered a petition on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in which it proposes to stop the reservation of employees of donor institutions and executors of international technical assistance projects. This will make it possible to support the army and form new brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was written by the well-known lawyer Rostyslav Kravets in his Telegram channel.

"My petition has been registered on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to stop the reservation of military personnel who are employees of representative offices of donor institutions and executors of international technical assistance projects. I ask you to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and help form separate brigades," he wrote.

Address for signing the petition: https://petition.kmu.gov.ua/petitions/7775.

The petition states that the provision of USAID financial assistance and the work of non-governmental public associations have actually been suspended. Accordingly, the Government is required to suspend for 90 days the operation of Clause 5 of the Procedure for the Reservation of Persons Liable for Military Service for the Period of Mobilization and for Wartime, according to which employees of these organizations’ representative offices and their grantees were exempted from conscription. During this time, the petitioner believes, a detailed audit of the use of international aid by these organizations should be conducted and reservations should be permanently terminated for those whose funds are used ineffectively or not for their intended purpose.

Simultaneously with the petition, Kravets published the response of the Supreme Court of Justice to the complaints against judges by DEJURE Foundation activist Khrystyna Burtnyk, which, in his opinion, indicates external interference in the activities of the judicial branch.

"That's exactly what this scumbag received money from USAID for. This is another example of external interference in the activities of the judicial branch of government, its humiliation and attempts to destroy its independence. In my opinion, there are all grounds for suspicion of treason," the lawyer emphasized.

At the same time, lawyer Oleh Shram reported on the negative consequences for the country of the work of media outlets that received funding from foreign donors.

"In 9/10 of those "our" media outlets that received funding from USAID, you will hardly find critical remarks about the work of "our" anti-corruption agency, primarily NABU, created at the insistence and funding of Western "partners", in the vast majority of the same USAID. I think it is unnecessary to explain why. Just remember what is the exclusive competence of NABU and what achievements it and its colleagues have made in the designated anti-corruption field over the 10 years of its existence. Because "independent" in a square", - he noted.

As previously reported, the court canceled the resolution on the closure of criminal proceedings against the co-founder of the Anti-Corruption Center (financed by American, European and Ukrainian organizations) Vitalii Shabunin. The command of the Territorial Defense Forces during the inspection revealed that in 2022-2023, a serviceman called up for mobilization to the 207th separate Territorial Defense Battalion (military unit A7376), soldier Shabunin, did not appear in his military unit, as he was considered "seconded to the National Defense Commission" based on letters from Novikov and Sytnyk.

At the same time, Shabunin received not only monetary support, but also an additional reward for performing combat missions in the amount of UAH 30,000 per month.
