Potap tells how he went abroad and what instructions Zaluzhnyi gave him

Ukrainian producer and performer Oleksii Potapenko (Potap) said that he legally left Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation. The performer noted that he is forced to regularly return to Ukraine in order to fulfill the conditions of the obtained permission to leave. He told this in an interview with russian journalist Yury Dud.

The 43-year-old performer said that he has an official permission to go abroad from the relevant state institutions. According to him, such a permission provides for a regular return to Ukraine. Although what kind of permission and which institution granted it to him, Potap did not specify.

"There are systems, methods, programs provided by various authorities where you can get an official permission to leave. It's not easy, you have to go through the bureaucratic part. During this time, I left for various reasons with the help of various authorities. But the permission implies that I have to return. I leave for a certain period of time and return," explained Oleksii Potapenko.

The performer also said that before leaving abroad at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he met with the then Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who, according to Potap, gave him "fatherly" advice, which was that Potap should help the defenders of Ukraine in the way he can.

As previously reported, Potap changed his stage name to Slavic Balagan. Now he positions himself not as a Ukrainian, but as an artist from Eastern Europe.
