The number of successful identifications using the National Bank's BankID System in 2024 increased by two times.
This is stated in the NBU's message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In 2024, the demand for using the system doubled - the total number of successful identifications using the NBU's BankID System for the year amounted to 87.7 million.
This exceeds last year's figure by more than twice (by 104%) or by 44.8 million electronic identifications.
In particular, the number of successful electronic identifications of commercial subscribers over the past year increased by more than a third (by 36% or by 1.6 million identifications) and amounted to 5.8 million identifications.
Among commercial services, financial services remained the most popular for users - their number amounted to over 5.1 million identifications in 2024.
This is a quarter (26%) or 1.1 million more than last year.
The number of successful electronic identifications of non-commercial subscribers in 2024 doubled (by 43.2 million identifications) and reached 81.8 million.
As in the past year, the largest number of successful identifications using the NBU BankID System was carried out on state portals, in particular:
- 16.8 million - for signing petitions and appeals to state authorities and local governments, which is 36% more than in 2023;
- 14.2 million - for receiving services of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, which is 73% more than in 2023;
- 7.8 million - in the Diia application, which is 90% more than in 2023.
The expansion of the list of remote services in the state and financial sectors contributed to the attraction of a larger number of system participants.
Thus, in 2024, 22 new subscribers were connected to the NBU BankID System, of which:
- 18 - commercial institutions;
- 3 - non-profit organizations;
- 1 - bank-identifier (Piraeus Bank MKB JSC).
So, at the beginning of 2025, the system had 39 subscribers - identifiers and 110 subscribers - service providers (of which 96 - commercial institutions and 14 - non-profit).
Also, in the summer of 2024, the use of the NBU BankID System became available for another state service - the educational application Mriia, which provides students, parents and teachers with tools for the educational process.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the NBU BankID System is a national system of remote electronic identification and verification of users through banks, which allows users to confirm their identity electronically and receive public, financial and other services remotely.
