In January 2025, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 84.3 billion (132% of the level of the previous month) or 86% of the total volume of trades of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
This follows from a statement by the exchange, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In the structure of trades for January, the share of currency swaps was 45.4% (UAH 38.3 billion or 242% of the previous month's level), domestic government bonds of Ukraine - 41.6% (UAH 35.1 billion or 78% of the previous month's level), bonds of foreign states - 11.6% (UAH 9.8 billion or 429% of the previous month's level), corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 1.1% (UAH 1 billion or 338% of the previous month's level), securities of collective investment institutions - 0.3% (UAH 0.2 billion or 1,000% of the previous month's level), shares of foreign issuers - 0.001% (UAH 0.8 million or 203% of the previous month's level) and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.0001% (UAH 0.1 million or 7.9% of the previous month's level).
In January, 11.7% of transactions were concluded on the "order market", on the "quotation market" (including address transactions) - 79.7% of transactions, in the REPO and REPO "with risk control" modes - 4.5% of transactions, in the SWAP "with risk control" mode - 3.9% of transactions, and in the unilateral auction mode - 0.2% of transactions.
In January 2025, 42 trading participants concluded transactions with 91 securities issues: domestic government bonds - 50, government foreign bonds - 9, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 9, bonds of foreign countries - 11, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 1, securities of collective investment institutions - 6, shares of foreign issuers - 4, currency swaps - 1.
From June 17, 2024, currency swaps trading began in the PFTS trading system.
In January, transactions were concluded exclusively with currency swaps "US dollar - Ukrainian hryvnia" (ticker: USDUAH).
The total volume of trades in the specified swaps amounted to UAH 38.3 billion (45.4% of the total volume of trades or 242% of the previous month's level).
In January, another public placement of corporate bonds took place on the PFTS.
130,000 units of interest-bearing registered ordinary unsecured bonds of series F of LLC ESKA CAPITAL (ISIN - UAT000014451) with a nominal value of UAH 1,000 with a maturity date of 11/05/2027 were placed.
The interest rate on bonds for all interest periods is set at 16% per annum.
Among the 50 issues of domestic government bonds with which transactions were concluded in January, 22 issues have maturity dates in 2025 (UAH 17.8 billion), 15 issues have maturity dates in 2026 (UAH 4.5 billion), 11 issues have maturity dates in 2027 (UAH 11.4 billion), one issue has a maturity date in 2028 (UAH 4.4 million), and one issue has a maturity date in 2029 (UAH 1.2 billion).
From July 26, 2022, trading in domestic government bonds of Ukraine denominated in foreign currency, in the currency of the nominal value, began on the PFTS.
In January 2025, the volume of exchange contracts with domestic government bonds executed in the nominal currency amounted to USD 85.1 million and EUR 3.6 million (4.4% of the total trading volume).
As of February 1, 2025, the number of members of JSC PFTS Stock Exchange admitted to trading was 51: 30 banks and 21 financial companies.
A total of 408 issues of securities were admitted to trading on PFTS Stock Exchange JSC, of which 114 issues of securities were in the Exchange Register.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in December 2024, the total volume of trading on 7the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 63.7 billion (126% of the level of the previous month) or 72% of the total volume of trades of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
The PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in S&P Emerging Markets since 1997.
