The first UAH 4.3 billion is already available for the purchase of new housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs) who lost their homes as a result of hostilities, under the eVidnovlennia (eReconstruction) state aid program.
Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"From today, funds are available for the purchase of new housing for internally displaced persons who lost their homes as a result of hostilities. Earlier, the Government redistributed UAH 15 billion specifically for this area of compensation through eReconstruction. The first UAH 4.3 billion for further payment of housing certificates are already in the accounts of the Ministry of Development and Reform," he said.
Ukrainians with IDP status who have lost their only real estate can take advantage of this program. The service is available for destroyed housing in controlled territory or in the zone of active hostilities.
To receive funds, you must have a valid IDP certificate.
In turn, the Ministry of Social Policy reported that UAH 4.3 billion has been allocated for further payment of 3,467 certificates for housing for internally displaced persons who lost their homes due to russian aggression and are awaiting compensation.
In total, UAH 15 billion will be allocated for these needs, which will allow more than 10,000 families to obtain their own housing.
The Ministry of Social Policy notes that if a person already had IDP status and an eReconstruction housing certificate and applied for a reservation of funds, they will automatically be transferred to another queue and will receive a notification about the reservation of funds.
If a person had a housing certificate, but has not yet reserved funds for it, they need to submit an application for a reservation, this can be done through the application or the Diia portal and a Center for the Provision of Administrative Services.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in December, the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development announced that an additional UAH 15 billion for compensation for damaged and destroyed housing for IDPs under the eReconstruction program will become available in January 2025.
