U.S. President Donald Trump has sharply criticized the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), accusing the organization of large-scale corruption and misuse of funds.

During a briefing at the White House, Trump said about corruption schemes in the agency related to the distribution of hundreds of millions of dollars.
There is fraud of a terrible scale. Huge sums were allocated to various groups that did not deserve any funding, he stressed.
According to Trump, there is suspicion of possible illegal payments to representatives of the U.S. government from recipients of USAID funds. He announced his intention to initiate a large-scale investigation into these allegations as soon as possible.
An interesting fact is that USAID, which is accused of corruption, among other things, financed organizations in Ukraine that declared the fight against corruption as their key area of activity.
Earlier it was reported that American billionaire Elon Musk accused the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) of spreading propaganda. Following these accusations, Musk deleted the organization's account from the social network.
