Air defense forces shoot down 57 of 104 enemy drones at night

On the night of Wednesday, February 5, russian troops launched 104 drones and 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles over the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 57 drones, another 42 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of February 5 (from 8 p.m. on February 4), the enemy attacked with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation and 104 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).

"As of 9 a.m., it has been confirmed that 57 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones have been shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Kirovohrad Regions. 42 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the report says.

The Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk Regions were affected by the enemy attack.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of February 4, the russians launched 65 drones over Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 37 of them, another 28 drones did not reach their targets.

On the night of Wednesday, February 5, the russians used UAVs to strike the central part of Kharkiv, a fire broke out.
