The Verkhovna Rada opened a record thirteenth session on Tuesday, February 4.
Yaroslav Zhelezniak, MP from the Holos faction, wrote about this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"For the first time in history, the 13th session of the Parliament has been opened," he wrote.
Co-chair of the European Solidarity faction Iryna Herashchenko reported in her Telegram channel that a record low number of MPs registered at the opening of the new session - 226.
According to her, the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada refused to say how many MPs from the Servant of the People faction were registered, which indicates the absence of a monomajority.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in September 2022, the Verkhovna Rada continued to work in a single plenary session until the end or abolition of martial law.
Meanwhile, the Verkhovna Rada will not support the abolition of the solidarity pension, even if such an initiative is proposed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
