The Armed Forces of Belarus are beginning a readiness test.

BELTA reported this on Monday, February 3, citing the Ministry of Defense.

According to the publication, the readiness and combat capability of mechanized military units and subdivisions will be assessed in Belarus. Reservists have been ordered to prepare weapons, military and special equipment for use, and to advance to designated areas.

"The main practical actions will take place during exercises and training of various scales at training grounds and unfamiliar areas," the report says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July 2024, self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the deployment of Iskander complexes near the border with Ukraine.

In August, Belaruski Gayun reported that Belarus had deployed over a thousand soldiers to the Ukrainian border.

On January 7, the Belarusian monitoring channel Belaruski Gayun reported that Belarus had deployed ground forces to the border with Ukraine.
