Occupiers attacking Sudzha, people can’t be deblocked from nursing home rubble

The army of the aggressor country, russia, is using FPV drones to attack the territory of a nursing home in the city of Sudzha, Kursk Oblast. Yesterday, February 1, russian aircraft bombed the building.

According to RBC-Ukraine, the spokesman for the Armed Forces of Ukraine Command in Sudzha, Oleksii Dmytrashkivskyi, stated this on the air of a telethon.

According to him, people continue to remain under the rubble of the nursing home. They want to free them, but the russians are using FPV drones to prevent the equipment needed to clear the rubble from being brought in.

"There is information about a seriously injured woman who was still alive as of 2:00 p.m., but her fate is unknown. They cannot get her out of the rubble," Dmytrashkivskyi added.

The spokesman for the commandant's office said that the strike on the nursing home was carried out by a guided missile. It was previously reported that a guided aerial bomb was dropped on the building.

He added that an hour after the first strike on the nursing home, a second strike was carried out. Fortunately, the second missile fell nearby. By this time, the survivors had been evacuated from the building.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 1, the russian army struck the city of Sudzha, Kursk Oblast, which has been controlled by the Defense Forces of Ukraine since August 2024.

The occupiers hit the building of the nursing home, where civilians were staying. The building was destroyed, and about 100 people were trapped under the rubble.

Russian propaganda accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine of allegedly striking the nursing home, but the Ukrainian military showed the trajectory of the russian ammunition, which was fired from a russian army aircraft.
