On the night of February 2, russian troops attacked Ukraine with 55 Shahed-type drones and simulator drones. 40 of them were shot down.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Of the 55 drones, 13 were locally lost.
Drones were recorded in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odesa Regions.
Thus, in Kharkiv, a drone hit a civilian enterprise. A large-scale fire broke out at a textile enterprise there.
"45 rescuers and 8 units of State Emergency Service equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of enemy shelling. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties," the State Emergency Service said.
An infrastructure facility was on fire in the Sumy Region. The strike also damaged 5 apartment buildings and 2 cars.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of February 1, 2025, the russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with missiles of various types – air, sea and land-based, as well as Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of simulator drones. According to preliminary data, 56 strike UAVs of various types were shot down, another 61 drones did not reach their targets, there are hits by missiles that enter the target along a ballistic trajectory.
