The American military helicopter Black Hawk, which crashed into a passenger plane in the sky near Washington on January 29, was performing a training flight. Usually, this aircraft is used as a taxi for U.S. VIPs.

The Black Hawk pilots were practicing a situation where they need to urgently transport the U.S. top leadership to a safe place in the event of an attack on the country's capital.
The publication writes that the Federal Aviation Administration has indefinitely suspended flights of most helicopters near Ronald Reagan National Airport.
Now, complex training flights in the airspace of Washington may be canceled altogether.
Plane crash in Washington
On January 29, at about 9:00 p.m., an American Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 PSA collided in midair with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter. At the time of the collision, the plane was landing at Reagan Airport, near Washington. The plane fell into the Potomac River. There were 64 people on board the plane, including children. There were military personnel on board the helicopter.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
A day later, a light-engine medical service Lear 55 plane crashed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, causing fires and damage to residential buildings.
