On Monday, February 3, an event will be held at the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia in Riga, where officials will announce the shipment of a batch of 100 drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was reported by the local portal Delfi.
The event will be attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braže, Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia Anatolii Kutsevol, as well as the head of the Ziedot.lv charitable foundation Rūta Dimanta.
It is expected that a demonstration will also take place, during which one of the drones will be raised into the air to a low altitude.
The charity project to purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a public initiative, during which funds are being collected on the Ziedot.lv platform.
The authors of the initiative on the Ziedot.lv portal emphasize that the Ukrainian military is in dire need of various types of drones - FPV drones, reconnaissance and attack drones.
