On Saturday, February 1, the russian invaders struck Poltava and hit a residential building. Currently, 3 people are known to have been killed and 10 injured, including a child.
The heads of the Poltava Regional Military Administration and the local unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine shared the relevant information on Telegram.
"The enemy struck Poltava. There was a hit in a residential building. Rescuers and emergency services are currently working on the scene," local authorities said, emphasizing that information about the consequences of the strike is being clarified.
At the same time, 21 people were rescued. The entrance from the 1st to 5th floors was destroyed, a fire broke out. Neighboring houses and 12 cars were damaged.
Emergency rescue operations are ongoing.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 25, during a massive missile and drone strike, russian invaders also attacked the Poltava Region, damaging the region's energy infrastructure.
