Border guards continue to note the largest number of sabotage-reconnaissance groups activities along the border with the russian federation: in the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv Regions.
This was reported on the air of the telethon by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) Andrii Demchenko.
However, he noted that a decrease in enemy sabotage and reconnaissance activity is currently being recorded, if we compare 2023 and the beginning of 2024.
"At the same time, the enemy has not given up sabotage activity. We continue to record the most such cases in the Kharkiv and Sumy Regions," Demchenko said.
He emphasized that russian sabotage groups are trying to expose the locations of Ukrainian military personnel, mine the area and strike certain objects. To expose them, the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard units use drones.
Earlier, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said that the Sumy Region is "the most popular" for russian special forces. Russian saboteurs are not giving up attempts to break through the border there.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December, russian special forces began to attack the northern border with the russian federation more often, but there is no threat of an offensive.
