Overnight into Thursday, January 30, an enemy drone attacked a residential high-rise building in the city of Sumy, as a result of which 9 apartments were destroyed, according to preliminary data, 4 people were killed and 9 were injured.
This was announced by the Sumy Regional Military Administration and the State Emergency Service on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"On January 30, the enemy struck one of the 10-story residential buildings in the city of Sumy. As a result of the attack, 9 apartments and 12 balconies were previously destroyed," the Emergency Service report says.
According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, as of 8:00 a.m., 4 people were killed and 9 were injured of varying severity, including 1 child.
118 people were evacuated from the building.
Emergency rescue and search operations are ongoing, special equipment for high-altitude work is in operation.
Rescuers quickly deployed a mobile invincibility point at the scene. Psychologists and doctors of the State Emergency Service are working. 2 dog teams have been involved.
According to preliminary information, 9 people were injured, including one child.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 31, the russian occupation army launched a missile strike on the Shostka community of the Sumy Region, as a result of the attack, infrastructure facilities were destroyed, high-rise buildings, educational institutions, a clinic and a hostel were damaged.
